Jared is a registered professional geoscientist (P.Geo.) in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Newfoundland, and Labrador. He provides technical consultation to private and public exploration companies, and is a co-founder and manager of Voyageur Exploration, Northern Critical Minerals, and BioGeomics Technology. Jared has over a decade of experience in the exploration and development of mineral resources across Canada and the United States, and possesses expertise in both the technical and operational aspects of early-stage mineral exploration.
His range of geologic deposit experience includes Carbonatite-hosted rare earth elements; Pegmatite-hosted rare earth elements; Pegmatite-hosted lithium, cesium, and tantalum; Mississippi Valley-Type-hosted lead, zinc, gallium, and germanium; Unconformity, Roll-Front, and Granite-hosted uranium, Porphyry-hosted copper and gold; Kimberlite-hosted diamonds; and, Salt Dome storage for hydrogen. Jared's technical work includes pioneering the development of geomicrobial surveys - a new mineral exploration tool based upon soil sampling and cutting edge eDNA technology. He earned his doctorate (Ph.D.) in Environmental Engineering focused on surface soil mechanics with an emphasis on the effects of desaturation in geotechnical environments. He also holds two Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degrees with distinction in Geology and honors in Geography.
